Breathe Longer, Live Longer

breathing

Yoga is widely known for overall health and well being, through yoga one can find his/her own happiness through self analyzing our body, mind and soul. Regular practice and some breathing techniques can give you a radiant and glowing skin.

You ask me how this can happen? Well, some of the simple yoga poses increases oxygen flow to our face muscles like cobra pose, child pose, shoulder stand and fish pose. Oxygen prevents your skin from dryness as well as sagging. All inverted poses will improve our blood circulation towards the head and heart region so it gives us healthy and radiant glowing skin. Not only simple poses but also simple breathing techniques will help you improve your healthy skin. For example, Brahmari Pranayama (honey bee sound) which is breathing through your nostrils sounding like a honey bee, these vibrations can rejuvenate your facial muscles. Another example,  Kapalabathi (skull shining), which is pumping oxygen directly to your brain through the blood stream. Alternate nostril breathing (ANB), simple as it sounds, is finding the right amount of oxygen intake and outtake of carbon dioxide through alternating between the two nostrils. Regular practice can balance your hormones and boost the flow of oxygen in your blood stream to your skin.
